Cacao is a heart-opening medicine. As a culture that has been incessantly governed by the mind, it can seem almost like a “thought” rather than a “feeling” to drop into the heart space. The heart, however, is an incredible gateway to both personal and universal truth. Cacao is a seed with high levels of theobromine and magnesium, in addition to many more nutrients, that work particularly on the heart to physically dilate it and the blood vessels. Through reaction, you are able to open the heart chakra and receive more of its healing properties and wisdom. In this workshop and ceremony, you will learn how to structure a ritual for yourself to open a dialogue between yourself and your very own heart.

Our Source - Single Origin: Mama Amor

This cacao harvested from the Suchitepéquez Mountains of the Guatemalan Pacific front: the largest area of cacao forests in Central America during Pre-Columbian times. For millennia, the art of agriculture and hybridization was mastered in these mountains.

Through generations of alchemy, this cacao’s flavor has been crafted to be fruity, acidic, rich in fats, and offer caramel bittersweet aromas typical to fermented ceremonial grade cacao.

The 15 women of this collective reestablished an old regional tradition of cultivating cacao in a beautiful way that provides their community with abundance and stability. The recent success of their delicious production allows them to develop their artisan workshop and propose an authentic quality of single-origin cacao.

How to prepare your cacao?

Heat water to 180 degrees. If the water boils, let it cool for a few minutes before adding in cacao

For one serving, add 1 ounce of chopped ceremonial cacao with 5 ounces of hot water. More cacao can be added for a stronger taste preference.

Stir the cacao with a whisk until it’s fully blended with hot water. Or use a blender and gently blend to make a frothy drink.

Traditionally, ceremonial cacao is served with no added flavors or sweeteners. However, it could be flavored with cinnamon, chili, cashew butter, a teaspoon of honey, or a pinch of sea salt.

For creamy taste, you have the options to add almond milk, oat milk, cashew milk, or coconut milk.

Pour the cacao into a mug that feels special to you. Add rose petals on top

*Apart from the physical preparation of the actual cacao drink itself, you should take some time to focus on your intentions. Our ceremonial cacao paste is set as a bar 1Lb.
